Accessibility Statement

Last updated: July 7, 2026

1. Our commitment

GadAAC is an augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) app built for neurodivergent people, including children. Accessibility is central to us — we work to make the app usable for people with communication, motor, and cognitive difficulties.

2. Conformance status

We aim to conform to WCAG 2.1 level AA. The app is currently partially conformant — most features meet these guidelines and we are improving the rest.

3. Accessibility features

  • Large touch targets (at least 48×48 px) for people with motor difficulties.
  • Multiple color modes, including high contrast and light/dark themes.
  • Text-to-speech (TTS) — tiles and sentences are read aloud.
  • A bilingual interface (Polish / English), plus adjustable tile size and label style.
  • Core communication works offline and without an account.
  • Labels and roles for screen readers on key elements.

4. Known limitations

Full screen-reader testing (VoiceOver, TalkBack) and a color contrast audit are in progress; some small elements in horizontal lists and some contrasts are still being refined. AI-generated suggestions may vary.

5. European Accessibility Act context

The app is operated by a micro-enterprise (a sole proprietorship). Despite the exemptions available to micro-enterprises, we strive to follow accessibility best practices in line with the European Accessibility Act (EAA).

6. Feedback

If you run into an accessibility barrier, write to kontakt@gadaac.com — we will try to respond in a reasonable time and fix the problem.
